A board that keeps up with the repository
Developers update code all day and update the tracker when they remember. By Thursday the board says a story is in review when it merged on Tuesday, and the lead preparing a status update has to check GitHub to find out what's actually done. When that update goes to a product owner or architect abroad, it's often corrected by hand first, so the board and the report drift apart.
On Team and up, ShipSprint takes the board's status from GitHub. Opening a branch for a card moves it, and merging the pull request closes it. Nobody has to remember the tracker, and the person reading the board from another country sees the same state the team does.
New work enters through a triage inbox instead of a direct message, and each column can carry a WIP limit. A review column that is always full is a signal to fix the review process, and the limit makes it visible within a sprint instead of in a retrospective.
Waiting on someone in another time zone
A development team inside a larger company spends a good part of each sprint waiting: for an API key from a platform team, for a code review from an architect abroad, for a product decision that can't be made locally. Those waits are usually invisible until stand-up.
On the "my day" screen, a developer sees today's items and can tap "I'm blocked". The right person is pulled in with the task and its context attached, so the request is complete when it reaches someone whose day is just starting. Raised in writing at the end of the Gurugram day, a blocker can be answered before the next morning's stand-up.
Decisions made on those calls belong in the built-in wiki, with page history. An architecture choice recorded next to the work it affected is still findable a year later, after the people in the meeting have moved teams. Any sentence on a wiki page can become a task.

On Team and up, Claude Code or Cursor can read and update tasks over MCP, with exactly the developer's own permissions.

No surveillance, and fair scorecards
Developers are right to be wary of tools that watch them. ShipSprint has no screenshots, no keystroke logging and no activity tracking. On Business, scorecards are built from delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for approved leave, and the developer can see their own.
Leave is also where sprint plans fail. On Team and up, capacity planning counts public holidays as well as personal leave: Diwali and Holi, Haryana's state holidays, and the regional festivals of colleagues from other states, which vary by state. If your office works some Saturdays, plan on actual working days. And if your reviewers are abroad, their public holidays are your blockers, so mark those weeks too.
