The account is the unit of work
An IT delivery team rarely works for one stakeholder. A services firm has clients; a capability centre has business units of its parent, each with its own budget holder and its own idea of what's urgent. The engineers are shared. The accountability isn't: every account expects to know what it is getting, and every account's budget holder expects the hours to add up.
When all of that lives in one backlog, three things go wrong. Change requests from the loudest account jump the queue. Support tickets and project work compete for the same people without anyone deciding the split. And at month end someone reconstructs who worked on what, for which account, from memory and chat history.
ShipSprint's answer is structural. Each account gets its own project and board, with per-column WIP limits, so an account whose queue is full shows as full. New requests from every account arrive in a triage inbox, where a delivery lead accepts, schedules or pushes back on them before they reach an engineer.
Change requests, support tickets and the build, side by side
A typical account has a mix: a project with milestones, a queue of small fixes, and change requests that arrive halfway through. Keeping them in separate columns on the same board, each with its own WIP limit, makes the trade-off visible. If the fix queue is at its limit, a new change request waits or something else moves, and the account's owner can see why.
On Team and up, engineers log time in about five seconds, next to the task they've just finished. Because every task sits in an account's project, timesheets arrive already split by account, which is what a client invoice or an internal cross-charge to a business unit needs. If someone misses a day, the reminder goes to them, not to their manager.
On Business, delivery forecasts are calculated from each team's measured velocity as sprints close. When a milestone for one account starts drifting, the forecast shows it while there is still time to agree a new scope or date.
What a multi-account week needs
Requests from every account land in one inbox and get a decision, instead of reaching whichever engineer the client emailed.
On Team and up, the manager dashboard and capacity planning show who is free this week, counting approved leave and out-of-office.
An engineer stuck on missing access or an unanswered question taps "I'm blocked", and the right person is pulled in with the task's context.
Each account's setup notes and handover docs live in the built-in wiki with page history, and a line on a page can become a task.
On Business, the owner command center and Monday digest cover every account, with scorecards adjusted for approved leave.
Planning around two sets of holidays
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. For a Gurugram team that means Diwali and Holi, Haryana's state holidays, and the regional festivals of colleagues from other states, which vary from one state to the next. Some firms also work certain Saturdays; plan on the days your team is actually working.
The account's own calendar matters as much. A client or parent company abroad has public holidays of its own, and approvals stop when its people are away. Mark those weeks before committing a date, so neither side promises delivery on a day the other is out.
Before a Gurugram IT company signs up
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds ShipSprint in Hyderabad and bills in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support runs through email and in-app chat.
Support hours. Support works in IST, as you do, and typically replies within the same working day.
Billing. Each seat is charged in rupees through Razorpay. Prices are quoted before GST, which appears on the invoice, and a valid GSTIN usually lets you claim input-tax credit. Your accountant can confirm.
Data protection. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 covers personal data you process in India, and each client's master services agreement may add conditions. Compare the sub-processor list and the security overview with both before client data goes into a ticket.
