When the client asks for evidence
An IT services firm working for banks, insurers, brokers or other regulated businesses gets asked two kinds of question that a typical client doesn't bother with. The first is about money: why does this month's time-and-materials invoice show this many hours on that module? The second is about control: who on your side could see our data, and who changed what?
Both are hard to answer from a spreadsheet timesheet and a chat history. ShipSprint is built so the answers are a by-product of the work. Each client engagement has its own project and board. Hours are logged against tasks in that project as they're finished. And on Business, the workspace audit log keeps the record of who did what.
An invoice you can back up task by task
On Team and up, an engineer logs time in about five seconds next to the task they just closed. The weekly timesheet is built from those entries, so each hour already belongs to a client, a project and a piece of work. When a client's finance team queries a line, you can show the tasks behind it instead of reconstructing the week from memory.
Missing entries trigger a reminder to the engineer who missed them, not an escalation to their manager. Nothing in ShipSprint takes screenshots, logs keystrokes or tracks activity, so the hours are the engineer's own record, which is what a client should be paying for anyway.
Scope creep shows up the same way. New requests go into a triage inbox before they reach anyone's queue, so a delivery lead can mark a request as a change and agree it with the client before the hours are spent.
What you can point to
Every workspace is an isolated tenant. Details are in the security overview.
Every user on every plan can protect their account with two-factor authentication.
On Business, people sign in with Google or Microsoft, so access follows your company accounts.
On Business, a workspace audit log of who did what, including actions taken through AI assistants.
A full JSON export of the workspace on every plan, for records or for leaving.
Running the bench across clients
On Team and up, the manager dashboard shows each person's work across every engagement, and capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office. Per-column WIP limits on each client board show when one account is absorbing more than it's paying for.
Plan with Mumbai's calendar in mind. Ganesh Chaturthi, usually in August or September, is the city's big regional festival, alongside Diwali and Holi, and engineers from other states may take their own regional festivals. A client abroad keeps its own holidays too. Public holidays and leave are part of capacity on Team and up, so an engagement isn't promised a sprint by people who won't be there. If you work some Saturdays, count those days.
On Business, the owner command center brings every engagement into one view with delivery forecasts from measured velocity, and a Monday digest arrives assembled.
Before a Mumbai IT firm signs up
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds ShipSprint in Hyderabad and bills in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support runs on email and in-app chat.
Time zones. Support works in IST, as you do, and usually replies the same working day. If a client's security review needs answers, raise them early in the day.
Billing. Per-seat billing in rupees runs through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST, which is added on the invoice, and with a valid GSTIN you can claim input-tax credit. Confirm the details with your accountant.
Data protection. Any client personal data in a ticket brings in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and a regulated client's contract will usually add its own terms. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against the Act and each master services agreement before that data enters a card.
