The update you write every month
Once a startup has raised money, the founder writes the same document again and again: an investor update, a board pack, a note to the team, a reply to the early customer who asked about a feature. Each one needs the same facts. What shipped, what's late, what's next, and why.
Collecting those facts usually means a round of messages to every lead, a spreadsheet, and an evening of reconciling answers that don't quite agree. By the time it's written, it's already a few days old.
On Business, ShipSprint's owner command center shows every team in one view, and a Monday digest arrives already assembled, built from the boards themselves. Delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes, so the "what's next" section is based on how fast the team actually ships, not the dates set in the planning meeting.
A forecast you can show a board
Investors don't mind a date moving nearly as much as they mind hearing about it late. A forecast based on measured velocity moves as soon as the work does. If the launch that was planned for next quarter is drifting, it shows weeks early, while you can still cut scope, reorder the roadmap or reset expectations in the next update instead of the one after.
The forecast is only as honest as the capacity behind it. Approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays all count on Team and up. In Mumbai that means planning around Ganesh Chaturthi, usually in August or September and the city's big regional festival, as well as Diwali and Holi and any regional festivals your hires from other states celebrate. If you've told investors a launch date that falls in festival week, the plan should say so.
One subscription as the company grows
Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each have their own templates and vocabulary on the same plan.
Sprints on WIP-limited boards. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists, so each new hire's first week is owned by someone.
Launch checklists and campaign calendars planned against the forecast date rather than a hopeful one.
On Business, scorecards adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe, with no activity tracking.
Decisions that survive the next hire
A startup that hires quickly after a round loses context quickly too. New people ask why the pricing changed or why a feature was dropped, and the answer is in a six-month-old chat thread. The built-in wiki keeps decisions next to the work they shaped, with page history, and any sentence on a page can become a task.
For day-to-day work, everyone opens to a "my day" screen with today's items and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with context. On Team and up, people can also query the workspace from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or Antigravity over MCP, with their own permissions. On Business, those actions go into the workspace audit log, along with everyone else's.
