Round three of revisions, and the hours nobody logged

Most agency quotes assume a set number of revision rounds. Most projects go past it. The extra rounds are small enough that nobody raises them at the time, and by the end of the month a fixed-fee project has used twice the design hours it was priced for, with no record that would support a conversation with the client.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays. In Ireland the dates to plan for are St Patrick's Day on 17 March, the bank holiday weekends, which each take a working day out of the week, and Christmas to New Year. If you have clients whose campaigns are built around St Patrick's Day, that work peaks right before a day the studio is closed.

The manager dashboard on Team shows the team's work across every client in one place. On Business, the owner command center and a Monday digest give the agency's owner the whole picture without anyone assembling it.

None of it relies on watching people. There are no screenshots, no keystroke logging and no activity tracking. On Business, scorecards use delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for leave, and each person can see their own.

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is developed by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in Ireland, and support runs by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of Dublin in winter and 4 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Send questions in your morning, while it's afternoon in India, and they'll usually be answered the same working day.

Billing. You pay per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to euros. Ask your accountant how VAT applies to a service bought from a supplier outside the EU.

Data protection. Client mailing lists, audience data and contact details are personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and each client's contract, before that kind of data goes into a task.
