Once a company has more than one department doing project work, status starts to live in several places. Answering "where are we?" without a status meeting

In any organisation past a certain size, the people who need to know status are not the people doing the work. A department head or programme lead wants a straight answer, and most tools make someone assemble it by hand.

On Business, the owner command center reads every team's boards directly, and a Monday digest arrives already assembled. Delivery forecasts are recalculated from each team's measured velocity as sprints close, so a date that is slipping shows up weeks before the review rather than during it. On Team, the manager dashboard gives the same kind of view for the people a manager is responsible for.

For the people doing the work, the day starts on a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log, and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the person who can help, with the context attached. Boards carry per-column WIP limits, and requests from other departments go into a triage inbox instead of someone's personal email.

Planning around the Spanish calendar

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so a sprint or campaign isn't planned around people who won't be there. In Spain the stretches that matter most are August, Holy Week, and Christmas through to Epiphany on 6 January. Regional holidays differ by region, and local holidays by town, so a team split between Madrid and another region won't always be off on the same days. Check the Community of Madrid's calendar each year rather than assuming last year's dates.

The built-in wiki helps with the handover before a long break. Decisions sit next to the work they affect, with page history, and any sentence on a page can become a task, so whoever covers in August can see why something was decided, not just that it was.

Using ShipSprint from Madrid: the practical points

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Spain or elsewhere in the EU. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Madrid in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent in a Madrid morning reaches us during the Indian afternoon, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge into euros. How Spanish VAT applies to a service bought from outside the EU is a question for your accountant or gestor.

Data protection. Spanish companies are covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The sub-processor list names each provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview explains tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and the JSON export available on every plan. Read both against your own obligations and your client contracts before personal data goes in.
