Blocked on someone else's API

Integration work has a particular way of going wrong. The code is half written, and then the team waits: for sandbox credentials from a payments provider, for a partner to fix a bug in their endpoint, for a bank or a logistics company to approve the test results. None of that waiting shows up on a typical sprint board. The card just sits in "In progress" looking like someone's slow.

In ShipSprint, waiting is its own state. Give the board a "waiting on partner" column with a WIP limit, and the team can see at a glance how much work is parked outside its control. When a developer gets stuck, the "I'm blocked" button on their my-day screen pulls in the person who owns the partner relationship, with the card and its history attached, so the chasing is done by the right person and the developer can pick up something else.

On Team and up, the board follows GitHub for everything the team does control: a branch tied to a card moves it, and a merged pull request closes it.

What the team learns about each partner

Every integration teaches the team something that isn't in the partner's documentation: which endpoint times out under load, which field is required even though the docs say optional, who actually answers support emails. That knowledge usually lives in a chat thread and is gone by the next integration.

ShipSprint's built-in wiki gives it a permanent page per partner, with page history so you can see when something changed. Any sentence on the page can become a card, so "renew the sandbox certificate before it expires" becomes a task with an owner, not a note someone hopes to remember.

On Team and up, developers can query and update the workspace from their editor through Claude Code, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT or Antigravity over MCP. The assistant acts with that developer's permissions only, and on Business every action it takes is in the workspace audit log.

For the engineering lead

Planning around dates you don't control

Forecasts that include the waiting

On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as sprints close, so time lost to partners shows up in the date.

Requests in one queue

New asks from partners and from the business go into the triage inbox, and the lead decides what enters the sprint.

Capacity on both sides

On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays for your developers, wherever they work.

The manager dashboard

On Team and up, one view of who's working on what across integration and roadmap projects.

Partners have holidays too

A certification window can close for a week because the partner's team is away. On the US side, avoid planning a go-live for Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July or the end-of-December holidays. If the partner is elsewhere in the Americas, ask about their calendar: Holy Week, for instance, is a quiet week across much of Latin America, and in Mexico the period from mid-December into early January is slow.

Time logging on Team and up takes about five seconds beside the card just finished, with reminders going to the developer, not their manager. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking, and scorecards on Business are leave-adjusted and visible to the person they describe.

Using ShipSprint from Miami: before you connect a repository

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is built by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India, which has no office or local entity in the US. Support works by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of Miami in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day, Indian time. A question sent first thing in your morning arrives as the Indian day is ending, so the answer often comes overnight; include the repository and what you expected to happen.

Billing. Seats are charged per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts them to dollars. How sales tax applies to a service bought from abroad is for your accountant to confirm.

Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law. State laws such as California's CCPA and sector rules such as HIPAA apply, and if you handle payment or partner data, your contracts will add their own terms. Before request logs or customer records go into cards, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against those obligations.

FAQ

Questions from Miami development teams

Give it a column of its own, such as "waiting on partner", and set a WIP limit on it. WIP limits are per column, so parked work is visible and capped.
