Keeping pilot customers honest, and yourselves

A pilot customer's requests are valuable and dangerous: each one is a signal, and each one can derail the roadmap. Requests from every pilot go into a triage inbox, where a founder decides what gets built and what waits. The decision and the reason go on a page in the built-in wiki, with page history, so the next conversation with that customer starts from what was agreed. Any sentence on the page can become a task.

When a developer is stuck waiting on a pilot customer for data or access, "I'm blocked" brings in whoever owns that relationship, with the context attached. Per-column WIP limits keep a small team from starting more than it can finish.

Onam, festivals and a tiny team

Onam, usually in August or September, is Kerala's big regional festival. In a startup of five, two people away that week halves what's possible, which matters if a pilot deadline falls nearby. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, including Diwali, Holi and the regional festivals of early hires from other states, which vary by state. If you work some Saturdays, plan on the days people are actually in.

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds ShipSprint in Hyderabad and bills in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support runs through email and in-app chat.

Time zones. Support works on IST and usually replies within the same working day.

Billing. Seats are billed in rupees through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST; once you're registered with a valid GSTIN, the invoice usually supports input-tax credit. Confirm with your accountant.

Data protection. Data from pilot customers, including their users' details, is personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and pilot agreements may add terms. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against both.
