Projects with someone else's deadline

Geneva is home to many international organisations, including the UN's European headquarters, and project work connected to that world can look different from commercial work. On Business, ShipSprint recalculates delivery forecasts from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes, not from the plan agreed at the start. A milestone drifting out of reach shows up while there's still time to change scope or talk to the partner.

When a grant requires time to be attributed to activities, the record is easier to build as you go. On Team and up, logging time takes about five seconds beside the task just finished, and because tasks belong to projects, hours are already grouped by activity when the report is due. A reminder for a missing day goes to the person, not their manager.

At the end of a project, the full workspace can be exported as JSON on every plan, which helps when records have to be handed over or archived.

Swiss holidays, and cantonal ones

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays. In Switzerland the stretches that matter most are Christmas to New Year and Easter, and public holidays differ by canton. Geneva keeps some of its own, such as Jeûne genevois in September, so a team split between Geneva and colleagues in another canton, or another country, won't always be off on the same days. Put each person's calendar into the plan rather than assuming one set of dates.

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Switzerland. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Geneva in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent in a Geneva morning reaches us in the Indian afternoon, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge into Swiss francs. How Swiss VAT applies to a service bought from abroad is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Swiss organisations work under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), in force since September 2023, and work involving people in the EU may bring in the GDPR too. International organisations may also have their own data rules. The sub-processor list names each provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation and two-factor authentication. Check both against your obligations, partner agreements and donor contracts before personal data goes in.
