Hanoi is Vietnam's capital, so some teams here count ministries, state-owned enterprises or other large organisations among their clients, while others build products or deliver software for clients abroad. Whatever the client, two questions come up at the end of most projects: what was agreed, and where did the time go.

ShipSprint answers both in the same place. Decisions and specifications live in a built-in wiki with page history, so you can see what a page said on the day it was approved, and any sentence on the page can become a task. On Team and up, people log time in about five seconds next to the task they just finished, and timesheets collect the week by person and project.

One caution for teams working with public bodies: ShipSprint holds no government security authorisation in Vietnam or elsewhere. If a contract restricts where project information can be kept, follow the contract.

Planning a year that has Tết in it

Tết, the Lunar New Year, is usually the longest break of the year, and the weeks around it are hard to plan: anything due just after the holiday really has to be finished before it, and both your team and your clients are working short. Reunification Day and Labour Day, at the end of April and the start of May, take another bite out of the spring.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays, so a sprint that crosses Tết is planned on the people who will actually be at work. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. If a deliverable promised for the week after Tết is drifting, it shows up in January rather than on the first day back.

The "my day" screen helps in the quiet weeks too. Each person sees only today's items, logs time in one tap, and can press "I'm blocked" to bring in the person who can help, with the context attached, even if half the team is on leave.

What the workspace keeps a record of

On Business, the workspace audit log records who changed what, including actions taken by AI assistants. On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity can connect over MCP, and each assistant works with the permissions of the person using it. Every workspace is an isolated tenant, two-factor authentication is available to every user, and the whole workspace can be exported as JSON on any plan.

There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. Scorecards on Business are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.

Using ShipSprint from Hanoi: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is built by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Vietnam, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes behind Hanoi all year, with no daylight saving on either side. Most of your working afternoon overlaps with the Indian working day, so a question sent before lunch usually gets a reply the same working day.

Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to dong. How Vietnamese VAT, or any tax on payments to foreign suppliers, applies to a service bought from abroad is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Vietnam's rules on personal data come from Decree 13/2023 and the newer Personal Data Protection Law. These are understood to include requirements on sending personal data outside Vietnam, which a service run from India may involve, so take advice. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your own obligations and client contracts before staff or customer data goes in.
